About the Property
Beauxwright continues our momentum in adaptive reuse with Plaza Hill, a two-story 21,728 SF multi-tenant retail center at the intersection of two of Charlotte’s most popular neighborhoods: Plaza Midwood and NoDa.
At the high-visibility corner of The Plaza and Duncan Avenue, Plaza Hill meets the need for walkable retail in a community that has seen dense, prolific residential for-sale and for-rent construction over the past decade. More than 5,000 units are driving retail demand across Plaza Midwood, NoDa and Optimist Park, along with Commonwealth, a nearby luxury mixed-use development.

LPA Urban paved the way for Plaza Hill by renovating the 1940s-era property in 2020, with a fresh mix of office and retail space, including a patio area fronting The Plaza. Now we’re expanding the retail offerings in a development that currently includes Summit Coffee, Salt & Souls and Humbug, among many others.
Moving into this central Charlotte corridor perfectly aligns with Beauxwright's adaptive reuse investment strategy, which is rooted in intentional placemaking – building places where people can live, work and play.

Beauxwright’s proven commercial operating experience includes successful properties across Charlotte and Greenville, SC. Cascadia at Highland Creek features specialty retail as part of our urban village concept. The Foundry, one of our earliest projects in Charlotte, transformed a factory of 1920s industrial buildings into a thriving collective of creative office, workshop and retail spaces. In Greenville’s revitalized Pendleton West district, our portfolio has diversified with the acquisition of a 10,673 SF office building and the adjacent development of a mixed-use complex.
With Plaza Hill, we have the opportunity to further enhance our retail portfolio in a submarket that values authenticity and a strong sense of community. This matches our development philosophy and the way we do business: personally invested in people and partnerships.
