RETAIL TENANTS ANNOUNCED AT CASCADIA AT HIGHLAND CREEK

Leasing Completed, Businesses Plan Summer Openings

Charlotte, NC – Cascadia at Highland Creek is pleased to announce that Summit Coffee and YogaSix (Y6) have signed on as the new tenants of the retail suites. This area of the development is now fully leased.

The seven-acre, mixed-use community in North Charlotte includes 89 new-build, three-story townhomes and 4,000 SF of retail, and answers the demand for build-to-rent (BTR) townhomes in an area where there is currently little inventory and price points are high.

Summit Coffee and YogaSix (Y6) will each occupy suites of 2,000 SF in Cascadia’s retail area, adjacent to the townhomes, and will be opening their doors this summer. Matt McLanahan of White Point Partners led the retail leasing efforts for the community.

“We’re very excited to welcome these popular and well-respected businesses to our neighborhood,” says Andy Lucas, principal at Beauxwright, a development partner with White Point Partners and Copper Builders. “They help complete our vision for a modern urban village.”

Lucas says that Summit Coffee, based in Davidson, NC, perfectly suits residents’ appetite for “locally owned.” “Summit is quickly emerging as one of the Southeast’s favorite coffee roasters, with cafes throughout Charlotte, along with Asheville and the Atlanta metro area,” Lucas explains. “We know residents of Cascadia will appreciate having a local business just a few steps away, for gathering, working and of course, enjoying amazing coffee, wine and pastries.”

Brian Helfrich, CEO of Summit, says Cascadia’s location was an ideal fit for his business. "Summit is constantly searching for great communities where we can build cafes and become part of a neighborhood," he says. "We're thrilled to be part of the Cascadia development, and Highland Creek on a larger scale. Exercise is also a vital part of the lifestyle mix at Cascadia. “With YogaSix (Y6) a short walk from the townhomes, it’s easy for residents to include workouts in their daily or weekly routines,” Lucas says.

YogaSix (Y6) will be opening its newest location among several locally owned and operated studios throughout the Southeast, one of which is located nearby in Cornelius. “We were attracted to this area because it brings together residents of all ages who care about fitness and wellness,” says Alireza Rashidi, owner and operator at YogaSix (Y6)Cornelius. “Our studio in Cornelius takes a full-sensory approach to our classes which are designed to be accessible to all individuals, regardless of their familiarity with yoga. We aim to provide a wide range of class types from Hot and Powerful to Restorative and Mindful. We can assure that we can always cater a good yoga class to our new community in Cascadia.”
